Adapted from the best-selling crime novels by Graham Hurley, Blood on the Docks is the gritty French crime series about the war on the streets in the port city of Le Havre. The two cops on the front lines of the brutal turf battles are the police department’s odd couple, inspectors Richard Faraday and Paul Winckler. Faraday’s the epitome of a by-the-book guy, to the point of rigidity, while Winkler is a grizzled rogue cop who values friendship above procedure. Theirs is an on-again, off-again partnership but when they do manage to work together, they tend to get the job done. Between them, they set out to solve a succession of grisly deaths plaguing the underbelly of this working-class city in the north of France.

Episode 1 - Angels Passing - A 15-year-old girl plunges to her death from a sixth floor condo balcony and the last person seen with her on a surveillance tape was an infamous street urchin. While Faraday investigates, another death rocks the community - a kind and gentle young African man is found hanging under a pier.

Episode 2: Cut to Black - Just as the department is about to run a sting against the drug lord Swaty, one of the key officers gets injured by drug runners and Winckler has to take his place. To his consternation, Faraday’s son Lulu also enters the drug world when he shoots a video-vérité documentary about a heroin addict.

Episode 3 -One Under - Naked and crying for help, a young man lies chained to the rail line as the commuter train approaches. Faraday learns that the victim was part of a group of social activists, as well as a respected artist. Winckler discovers that an acquaintance of the victim, an elderly portrait photographer, has also disappeared.

Episode 4 -Blood and Honey - The decapitated body of a young man is found on the beach. Overwhelmed by the barbarity, Winckler leaves the crime site and lets Faraday work the case. Winckler’s new assignment: a drug bust of some wealthy socialites. But he finds his share of barbarity in that corner of Le Havre, also.
